WhiteWater Inc., is seeking a dynamic, dependable and organized professional to fill the role ofLead Maintenance Technicianin ourMA, Southeast Region.
The primary responsibility of the Lead Maintenance Technician is to provide assistance to the Maintenance Supervisor in the completion of all maintenance tasks for the area assigned. The lead technician will be the point of contact and coordinator of all larger jobs within the assigned area, and be responsible for work performed by maintenance technicians under their direction.
Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks as scheduled and assigned by the supervisor
Under the direction of the maintenance manager and supervisors assist in the preparation of work schedules taking into consideration priorities and emergencies
Evaluate and provide cost estimates for the preparation of proposals and WAF's for plant operations, repairs, or overall system improvements
Assist in the preparation of wastewater and/or water treatment plant predictive and preventative maintenance plans as assigned
Assist in the development, implement and maintain procedures and protocols to ensure accurate maintenance and repair records are maintained.
Adhere to corporate safety policies in regards to \"safety always\" while performing maintenance work.
Assist in the preparation of safety plans for larger projects and in conjunction with the safety department identify and resolve any potential safety issues
Maintain safety equipment and supplies.
Assist in the startup of new systems with respect to evaluation of new equipment and processes
Interact with group supervisors to ensure proper facilitation of maintenance request forms
Other Duties and responsibilities:
Interact with subcontractors and/or outside vendors as necessary.
Meet with clients, regulatory agencies, and corporate safety offices as needed
Work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
May occasionally supervise staff and subcontractors as needed or required by type of work performed
Stay current with any required operator training requirements to maintain TCH's as required by the Certification board.
Provide various Wastewater/Water system inspections of operations and maintenance, with a focus on the improvement of designated facilities overall continued effective operation.
Education or background in Water and Wastewater Operations and Maintenance preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent
Seven to ten years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Three to five years in a regulated industry.
Relevant environmental management experience shall include but not be limited to: Wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting, operation and maintenance, collection and analysis of wastewater and water, hazardous material storage and containment.
Experienced in operation and maintenance requirements of package treatment plants (i.e. RBC, FAST, Zenon, SBR)
Experienced in operation and maintenance requirement of water treatment plants, distribution systems and booster pump stations
Able to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, diagrams and equipment specifications.
Knowledge of MA regulatory requirements.
Must possess a Grade 2M (or higher) Full Massachusetts operator's certification
Water Distribution D1 and Water Treatment T1 preferred
Must possess valid MA driver's License
Must be computer literate.
Must possess valid MA Hoisting License
