The URBN Summer Internship Program is an industry-leading, 10-week experience that hosts students from across the country and internationally. Our Interns have the unique opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience across a range of departments and brands with exposure to company leaders, engaging workshops/excursions and our creative & entrepreneurial culture (dogs on-campus included .)
URBN is a portfolio of global consumer brands comprised of Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, BHLDN, Terrain, Nuuly and URBN Food & Beverage. We create unique retail experiences with an eye toward creativity and a singular focus on pleasing our customer.
The 2020 Program will run from June 1st to August 7th.

Free People Textile Team-Color Intern Responsibilities: Assist in the development of seasonal color palettes Prep for and assist with color meetings (where we chose specific colors for individual styles / categories with designers and buyers) Collect, track, and file lab dips Keep core fabric color records organized and up to date Maintain organization and tidiness of color room
Qualifications: Knowledge and experience in color theory Strong organizational skills. Ability to self-manage, meet deadlines and complete tasks in timely manner. Strong sense of aesthetics in color and fashion Ability to research and report on fashion trends, color, and fabric innovations approximately 9- 12 months ahead of season Ability to recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends as they relate to the target customer

(3) Fall 2020 Print Design Project (8.5 X 11 PDF) Study our customer and design a concept board for the Fall 2020season showing fashion trends based upon your understanding of our customer and product. The board should touch upon trending fashion silhouettes, pattern direction, and color palette. Please include image tears, fabric qualities, or anything you feel is relevant to convey your point of view. Pull one idea from your concept board and create 2 prints based around this idea to demonstrate your research abilities, ability to develop a concept, as well as your artistic hand. We love to see hand done process work so feel free to include in your project. This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it!

Application Process: Submit a completed application via our careers website . Complete HireVue: Within 2 weeks of submitting applications, candidates will receive an email with a link to complete a HireVue Video Interview. Candidates will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received. Intern Interview Day: If you are selected for an in-person interview, you will be notified on or around November 22nd. This event will be held at our Home Office in Philadelphia on December 12th and 13th. Please tentatively hold these dates in the case that you are selected to attend. If you are unable to attend Interview Day, we will do our best to accommodate you at another time but cannot guarantee it. You MUST be selected for an interview in order to attend this recruiting event.
