We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative and fun loving team members, and are looking for a Trim and Packaging Coordinator to come join our New York based headquarters.Reporting to a Senior Product Developer this role will support the Product Development team to oversee development and production for all trims inclusive of hardware, zippers, buttons, soft trims, heat seals, labels/hangtags for Tommy John underwear and apparel. The ideal candidate will successfully drive the development and approval of trims through concept to production.Responsibilities:* Research, source and develop new seasonal trims with suppliers that adhere closely to design direction* Monitor and adhere to all calendar deadlines; create and own trim specific deliverables when necessary* Maintain daily communication with suppliers and cross functional teams to meet calendar deadlines* Maintain product integrity by standardizing packing and labeling guidelines structure in order to meet with company's reputation for garment production* Communicate clearly with design team, product development and overseas suppliers on various trim details* Manage, analyze, update and review daily/weekly WIPs for development* Create testing standards for all trim used by Tommy John; ensure all trims meet these quality and testing standards* Build and maintain a trim library in order to have references* Negotiate prices and lead times for both sample and bulk trims* Work closely with raw material and product development teams to resolve potential issues prior to sampling and production* Manage sampling inventory and factory communication to ensure timely delivery* Responsible for setting up all trims in Centric PLM system* Demonstrate attention to detail and high level of accuracy when proof reading of trim details and techpacks* Problem solving and ability to initiate and implement change when needed* Ability to maintain multiple charts in Excel daily with cross functional teams and vendorsRequirements:* Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or relevant experience* 1-2 yrs of work experience in development of trims/labels for a fashion brand/retail brand* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically in Excel* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and constantly meet deadline demands* Detailed oriented, organized & excellent communicator* Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented, quick and timely in approach to work goalsSome awesome parts of working at Tommy John:* Benefits - Medical, Vision, Dental* Medical covered 100% for employees* Tommy John Employee Discount* Bi-Weekly Culture Calendar events* Flexibility* Tons of Snacks* Countless Happy Hours* Great work environmentBut, don't just take our word for it.
