There is currently a full-time opportunity at Robert Half Finance for a skilled Plant Accountant
to join a dynamic, innovative team in the Atlanta, Georgia area. As a Plant Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and reporting, account analysis and reconciliations, analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This position offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to help you achieve long-term potential within the company. What you get to do every single day as a Plant Accountant:Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Determine product costs, analyze variances, inventory control
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Partake in various department-wide initiatives

Able to manage time well
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Ability to meet deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Understanding of cost accounting and inventory required
3+ years of overall general accounting experience
Accounting experience in a manufacturing company a plus
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Expertise in account reconciliation
Analyze Variance experience
Journal entries experience desired
Month end closings experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
BA/BS in Accounting
High attention to detail
