    Mettler-Toledo is the worldwide leading manufacturer of real-time process control instrumentation and services. We are looking for a candidate that has a passion for mechanical design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement. The Industrial engineer will provide operational analysis and support resulting in continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, of equipment and of manufacturing space and logistics processes to support our manufacturing operations. The focus will be to work towards the elimination of wastes, reduction of operating costs, improvement of safety, quality, labor performance and to increase the efficiency of processes and systems while supporting the manufacturing plant. This position requires experience in providing technical assistance in overcoming production and quality problems involving materials, processes, product, equipment and tooling to ultimately increase line output and improve quality.

    What You Need to Succeed

    Bachelor's degree in Industrial or mechanical engineering is required. Must have 3 years of practical work experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Knowledge of production processes, production and manufacturing equipment, product costing development, quality control and current methodologies for maintaining and maximizing the effective and efficient production and distribution of our products.

    Knowledgeable of all existing and emerging manufacturing techniques, processes and programs such as Lean, Kanban, 6-Sigma etc.

    Product cost analysis development and time study knowledge.

    Ability to logically and efficiently frame and solve problems, technical and otherwise.

    Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems. Experience with SAP is a plus.

    Proficiency in solid modeling (CAD, CREO, Solidworks etc.)

    Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office tools.

    Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimum supervision.

    Good verbal and written communication skills.

    Self-motivated to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
