Job Summary:

The Material Handler provides support in the material handling responsibilities in the manufacturing facility.

Transfer incoming parts from Receiving to the warehouse and production lines.
Forklift experience required.
Replenish the lines to help maintain the required TAKT time for the production cell.
Move locations both physically and in JD Edwards computer system when needed.
Pre-draw components for work order completion.
Help support process improvement activities through active participation in continuous improvement and EH&S initiatives.
Help process MRB related non-conformances.
Inventory related functions.
Intermittent count verification of part receipts.
Cycle count when material moves.
Count material when \"put away\".
Count material after taken for production.
Cycle count - based on ABC rules.
Verify non-inventory \"bulk\" items and have bins clearly marked.
Work with cost accounting on reconciling count variances.

Qualifications / Skills:
Ability to operate all types of fork lift trucks.

Must be experienced in operation ofhand tools, screw gun, nail gun, circular sawand able to build shipping crates.

Computer knowledge a must.

2 - 4 years' experience desired.

Additional Equipment Used:
Hand-held tape guns (when tape machine cannot be used).

Utility knife.

Two-wheel dolly.

Pallet Jack.

Safety Equipment:
Mats to stand on.

Safety glasses.

Safety shoes.

Machine guarding as applicable.

Cut-resistant gloves as applicable.

Education / Experience:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
