The Product Technicianreportsdirectly to the Production Manager, is responsible for executing and maintaining all daily operations of the Packaging Department to achieve the company initiatives. Additionally, the Product Technicianmaintains the policies and procedures of the company and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPackage cannabis derivative products using automated equipment to fill vials with liquids / oils.Must demonstrate a good attitude and strong initiative, along with a positive work ethicMust be a team playerWill be cross trained on extraction equipmentMust be able to read, comprehend and follow explicit instructionsMust be flexible to work various shifts and available for overtime and/or weekend hoursRequires use of personal protective equipment including steel toe shoes, respiratory protection equipment and hearing protectionWork is performed in a lab setting with bio hazards/various chemicalsMust keep work environment clean at all timesAbility to work with various levels of noise
Training & Development:Consistent development of trimming and packaging skills.Participating in quarterly department meetings.Owning personal training and development regarding current on product knowledge and policies and proceduresand seeking out answers as needed from the Production ManagerProviding documentation and feedback to the Production Manager for the completion of team annual performance evaluations self-evaluations.Following flawlessly all company Time and Attendance Policies
Driving Business/Sales:Ensuring that packaged product is producing sufficient amount to meet the needs of Grow Healthy.Controlling & Preventing Loss.Proficient in product protection.Maintain current and up to date knowledge of security procedures and protocols as applicable to position andfacility.Assisting in the execution of monthly product and supply inventory audits as neededMaintain current and up to date knowledge Loss Prevention (LP) procedures
Minimum Qualifications:HS diploma or equivalentExperience in a factory line, preferredMechanical skills preferredBeing able to work with a teamHaving organizational skills.Having decision making skills.Being analytical.Being detail oriented.Being proactive
Physical and Environmental Requirements:Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours a day and rotating shiftsFlexible schedule availability including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift, push, and pull 50 poundsAbility to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workdayAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairsAbility and willingness to work in the following conditionsGeneral office environmentExtended computer usageExtended phone usage including tele conferencesWork environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC,motion, and noise.
