Job DescriptionWhat will I be doing?As a Maintenance Engineer, you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:* To monitor, maintain, repair and carry out the maintenance programs on the hotel's equipment including, but not limited to boilers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, domestic water systems, water testing, HVAC, ice machines, and kitchen equipment.* To maintain, repair and install appliances throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation.* To maintain, repair and install electrical equipment throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation.* Perform Preventative maintenance of guest rooms, including painting, caulking, wood touch up, vent cleaning, drain repair, and other needed tasks.* Report all deficiencies and items that cannot be readily repaired to Supervisor.* Perform repair and refinishing task (to include, but not limited to the following):* Painting, Wallpapering* Proficient in ceiling and wall textures and finishes* Staining, Varnishing* Refinish doors, furniture, walls, ceiling, and external structures.* Visually inspect and diagnose finish failure problems to ensure quality appearance of guestrooms, public space and back of house facilities.* Maintain inventory of paint and paint supplies. Maintains a clean, neat shop work area, sweeping and cleaning as necessary. Maintain proper functioning of all equipment and tools. Establishes a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership. Assist other maintenance staff and external vendors on special projects as directed by the engineering leadership. To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:* Ability to follow basic written and verbal directions, climb stairs and work on ladders up to 40', push/pull up to 100 lbs, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, grasp, stoop, reach overhead.* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* 3-5 years of related experience required.It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:* Technical diploma preferred.* EPA Certification Type II (HVAC) preferred.* EPA I (Applicance) preferred.* 5-7 years of related experience preferred.
