GLE Scrap Metal Trading is currently seeking an Operations Manager. Candidate will be responsible for managing the operations team, which consist of both logistic and documents support personnel. This role requires hands-on management and support of the team in all aspects of international trading.

Responsibilities:

Lead the operations team and guide in day-to-day activities.

Develop and implement procedures for operations team to follow

Proactively monitor and follow up on trading and cargo movement flow.

Mentor team members for an effective and timely task resolution.

Build and monitor metrics to constantly evaluate team performance.

Be hands-on in id

entifying and resolving issues.

Establish & maintain relationships with, internal and external trading partners, internal supervisors and external venders as appropriate

Step in customer service when issues begin to surface, work to prevent/avoid issues or uncomfortable situations .

Manage projects to streamline trading operations, including service platform and IT solutions

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or International Trade or equivalent experience

Minimum of 3 years of related experience required. Prefer 5+ years of professional experience within commodity trading, steam shipping/NVOCC, or global manufacturer industries.

Preferred Skills:

Strong working knowledge of international trading operation.

Interest in market dynamics, technology of modern trading , global supply chain processes, and risk mitigation.

Excellent written and verbal communication and team building skills; strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset, experience with project management.

Online B2B platform experiences and IT solution development knowledge are big plus
