Role Summary:Represent Supply Chain in a global cross-functional team responsible to develop New Products. Provide inputs on resource requirements, supply chain risks, and equipment required to achieve NPI Project Goals. Responsibilities include providing documentation with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment. Aggressively initiate new processes and methods that will improve safety, reduce product cost and/or improve product quality.
Essential Responsibilities:? Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs.
* Lead a cross-functional sub-team of Sourcing, Manufacturing, Product Quality, Materials to achieve targets in development and design transfer phase. * Seek early understanding of Standard Product Cost, EHS risks, Regulatory Risks, and training needs. Plan activities to address these needs in timely manner. * Lead accurate and timely completion of documents required for each Milestone Review. This includes Supply Chain Strategy, Design Transfer Plan, Supply Chain Readiness Report, Validation Plan. * Highlight Supply Chain Risks related to Safety, Cost, Lead Time, Business Continuity and Regulatory Compliance to Project Management and Leadership Team. Follow through on Risk Mitigation Activities and provide status updates in Program Reviews. * Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives by preparing Process Flow Charts, Product Risk Maps, and pFMEA to identify opportunity to reduce cycle time, improve quality, and avoid EHS Issues. Driving LEAN manufacturing implementation * Ensure sound Project Administration through resource plans, meetings minutes and actions-decisions log, and Project Archives. * Design and develop new processes to support both short and long term business plans with ? productivity, capacity and quality improvements. * Lead Compliance, as well as Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in support of plant goals * Provide safe processes that comply with all local and federal regulations. Assure that corrective action is taken to resolve observed safety concerns in all areas.
Qualifications/Requirements:? B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related technical degree and 3 years experience or Associates Degree and 5 years experience in production, engineering, or operations management.
* Previous experience in managing scope, budget, quality, and resources in capacity of Project Coordinator / Manager. * Experience with manufacturing processes and quality control on one of the following: Machining, Casting, Molding, Assembling. * Experience with Production Equipment Design, installation and maintenance. * Excellent problem-solving abilities using analytical and logical thinking skills. * Understanding of QA-QC and testing procedures. * Good analytical and planning skills.
