  • SCOPE : The Plastics Materials Processor (Production Worker II) prepares and processes materials required for molding plastic teeth.


  • Follow predefined steps as outlined in department SOPs and Operation Sheets to perform the following duties:
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Mix pigments and polymers to produce color concentrates for plastic tooth dry blends
  • Blend and store color concentrates to form plastic tooth dry blends
  • Mix and store liquid raw materials for plastic tooth liquids.
  • Combine plastic tooth liquids and dry blends into tooth gels per predefined formulas. Transfer gels into plastic sleeves and test for proper consistency prior to storage.
  • Slice gels into wafers of predefined size based on approved Operations Sheets
  • Pack wafers into plastic containers and store in freezer.
  • Mix tooth stains according to predefined formula
  • Assemble and deliver slicing orders to Plastic Tooth Production department.
  • Reviews/updates departmental procedures (S.O.P.) periodically as directed by the Supervisor and/or Unit Leader. Maintains skills via department training. Records and maintain accurate training records.
  • Participates and contributes to projects when assigned to meet department goals and objectives including completing A-3 continuous improvement suggestions and safety reports (e.g. near-miss cards).
  • Must have the ability to work overtime as required; other duties as assigned

  • Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None.
  • Years and Type of Experience: 1 to3 years general manufacturing experience with assembly, machine operation and injection molding; Experience working with manufacturing jobs requiring good hand-eye coordination, quality inspection and repetitive tasks.
  • Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Proven ability to operate production and injection molding machinery Ability to operate scales, mixing and slicing equipment. Ability to work with and tolerate chemicals. Basic experience with computers and ability to perform basic data entry.
