Clariant is seeking a dynamic individual to manage its Paints & Coatings and Construction Chemicals Business Lines in North America. This position is responsible for the delivery of overall sales, margin and working capital targets. Reporting to the Head of Industrial Applications, the role works closely with the global and regional marketing and technical departments in new product development activities, along with generating data for existing products and customer projects that will result in value-added growth. This role is also responsible for resource allocations within the Business Lines.. Responsibilities:. Manage Business Lines with respect to KPI achievement and strategic growth goals. Create and deliver sustainable pipeline of growth opportunities to support long term growth. Actively contribute to Sales & Operations Planning process. Regionally responsible for working capital of Business Lines. Design and implement strategic sales plans that expand customer base and ensure strong market presence. Manager product portfolio based on market demand and appropriate level of complexity. Identification and management of regional market needs, growth opportunities and customer projects. Determine and manage pricing by monitoring costs, competition and supply and demand. Regionally responsible for Business Lines sales, consolidate margin and working capital targets. Manage Key Accounts in region operationally in cooperation with Strategic Marketing and Key Account Management. Prioritize technical and customer projects to gain best return on investment. Actively contribute to the development of team members. Effectively manage objective setting, performance and motivation of team members. Ensure compliance in call reporting and pricing management. Appropriately allocate resources to maximize team member efforts. Requirements:. A team oriented, highly motivated self-starter with minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales, marketing or management function in application/production with close business link.. Technical or business management degree required.. Demonstrated knowledge of the industry and key technologies. Strong understanding of polyethylene glycols, surfactants, wetting agents, dispersants and related chemistries.. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Includes report preparation and presentation skills.. Ability to use strong listening, analytical, and problem solving skills to identify, develop, and explain solutions to internal and external stakeholders.. Excellent people management skills.. Proficiency in MS Office programs. SAP experience a plus.. Travel requirements are expected to be in the range of 20 - 30% including both domestic and international. Position based in Mt. Holly, NC.
