Job Details This individual will join our team of business intelligence developers and partner with Christiana business and clinical teams and our vendor (Cerner) to build, deploy and improve the analytics and supporting data warehouse components to support the rapidly growing analytical needs of the organization. Understanding the setup of different warehouses and requirements analysis, design, build, support of reporting components on the Cerner EDW would be a key responsibility. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Build and support of analytic solutions developed in Cerner EDW to meet the various business needs of the organization using tools such as Business Objects and Tableau. Design/develop ETL using an ETL tool and conforming to ETL development standards and guidelines. Understanding and developing solutions to syndicate data and in out of EDW using the Cerner syndication tool. * Work with the business and data architects to understand/support source to target maps and transformation rules in EDW defined by data sets, data models and projects. * Research/Scope data elements available in HealtheEDW/Vertica/HealtheIntent based on documentation available in Cerner Wiki as well as interaction with other customers. Develop understanding of various source systems feeds into EDW. * Perform validation of data/reports by comparing data in EDW and source systems. * Work with the BI Architect and BI Analysts to develop the reports, dashboards or other user interface solutions as required by the customer. * Performs all levels of testing to ensure ETL and BI code meets technical and business requirements. * Create BI user interface solutions using a BI tool and conforming to BI development standards and guidelines while focusing on delivering an effective user experience based on user roles. * Ensure the creation of high quality and on time deliverables. * Ensures standards for user access security are followed. * Ensure documentation and proper on-call support. * Provide support to resolve issues as needed. * Ensure that standards for change management and production control are understood and followed. * Maintain effective user and IT relationships in order to provide a climate receptive to systems improvement and to enhance understanding of the user's business concerns. * Looks for areas of improvement in processes and procedures and offers recommendations. * Maintain a working knowledge in Business Intelligence tools and technologies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. * Experience with Data Warehouse ETL development tools. * Experience with ETL performance optimization techniques. * Experience with BI user reporting and analysis tools and the overall user experience. * Experience working in a Data Warehouse agile development environment. * 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with 2+ years in Business Intelligence. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
