Maintenance Manager

Well Known Company in the Springfield,Mo area has an immediate need for a Maintenance Manager.Position will report to the SR.Director of Manufacturing.The selected candidate will be responsible for the facility's maintenance management existing of over 20 technicians.This position is one of leadership,training and mentoring,,not wrench turning,

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise/Manage Maintenance Department and ensure Team members are following companies policies and procedures
  • Fully Support all of companies Food Safety and Quality initiatives
  • Effectively and efficiently manage the personnel to troubleshoot,correct,and fix equipment as needed
  • Work with and manage staff members in managing the Preventive Maintenance Program(PPM)
  • Order necessary parts for equipment,schedule downtime for repair,and manage time accordingly
  • Ensure critical spare parts inventory is on hand
  • Assure ammonia system is operating correctly and safely
  • Work with contractors
  • Minimize down time though Continuous Improvement Initiatives
  • Responsible for facility and equipment maintenance
  • Maintain thorough and neat records
  • Communicates effectively Quality,Production,and Operations with any problems
  • Assist in the developing of new equipment
  • Ability to design and implement process improvement suggestions


Job Requirements:
Requirements:

  • Prefer candidates that have an Engineering degree,but will consider applicants without provided they have at least 7 years of within the food industry
  • Must have at least 7 years of Management/Supervisory experience in a Manufacturing facility
  • Ideal candidate will have experience working in a food facility
  • Prefer candidates that have experience with Ammonia
  • Must have experience with a PPM
  • Must have above average communication skills including verbal and communication
  • Must have a well developed sense of personal initiative and commitment
