Performs basic equipment service and general labor work, and assists craftsmen in maintenance, repair and inspections processes of all mine equipment plus general housekeeping, building maintenance and clean-up work of work areas, parts and equipment.


  • Must demonstrate the ability to operate hand and power tools, measuring tools, shop support equipment, i.e., pickup, forklift, clean-up loader, sweeper, overhead crane, boom truck
  • Power wash equipment, cable mule and torch

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work well with others and follow direction and instruction with direct supervision and minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate safe work habits, and the ability and willingness to learn

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
