As an Associate Modeling Analyst, you ll be responsible for mastering data and creating data pipelines for advanced analytics projects, building tools and processes to bring value from models and analytics to the business, and performing analysis to produce actionable insights for all lines of business and functional areas. You ll work alongside predictive modelers and analysts to optimize the quality and flow of data for modeling and advanced analytics projects. This will include investigating new data sources, building master datasets, and supporting machine learning, predictive analytics, and business intelligence. You will gain industry and technical experience as you work with a variety of experts across the organization and apply your technical skills.
Key Responsibilities: Work directly with advanced analytics team to support our modeling data framework by conducting data aggregation, reconciliation, transformation, visualization, and exploratory analysis in preparation for predictive modeling. Integrate data from multiple sources including structured and unstructured data. Collaborate with business domain experts to understand their needs and assist in designing innovative solutions. Identify and assess new data sources through exploratory data analysis and testing of accuracy, quality, and relevance. Build repeatable processes to integrate new and current data sources. Increase efficiency through automation and monitoring of regular data and analytics processes. Assist in building machine learning, predictive analytics, and BI application prototypes to drive impact from our data, analytics, and predictive models. Produce immediate and actionable insights by employing data visualization techniques in the big data environment. Conduct analysis and communicate findings as required. Evaluate multiple programming languages and development tools for opportunities to impact deployment productivity. Provide technical data support for multiple projects of varying complexity. Identify new areas of opportunity to improve and enhance existing data processes.
Key Requirements: BS in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, Business or other STEM degrees or equivalent combined training and experience. Familiarity with SAS, Python, R, Scala, or Java. Confident with SQL. Excellent analytical and data handling skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong interest in learning and applying new technologies and methodologies. Nice-to-haves: SAS programming skills. Knowledge of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS). Familiarity with Talend, Tableau, ArcGIS/QGIS. Basic understanding of XML, XSD, XPath, JSON. Working knowledge of the Linux CLI. Familiarity with and interest in machine learning, NLP, and others. 1+ years hands-on experience with data analysis, data modeling, data warehousing, or business intelligence.
